AMSET away from the computer too

Two apps of our own, written in Kotlin: one for Android and one for Wear OS. Both pair with a six-digit code you approve from the web, so the app carries no password inside.

Android

The phone app

Talk to it without unlocking

  • Wake word “AMSET”, recognised on the phone itself without sending audio anywhere. It only listens with the screen locked and it ships disabled: you turn it on by hand.
  • Shaking the locked phone also opens the microphone.
  • The button on Bluetooth headphones works as a trigger.
  • And if you prefer tapping: the orb in the app, a quick-settings tile, a home-screen widget or the persistent notification itself.

The full conversation

  • Chat with formatting, attachments, templates and answers with option buttons.
  • Live activity and generated files tabs, which you can save or share.
  • Cancel, retry, edit and resend, regenerate, or schedule the retry for when the quota resets.
  • A button to turn a conversation that works into an automated process.

Notifications that are worth something

  • Reply from the notification, without opening the app, even over the lock screen.
  • Progress updates while it works, reminders on time and a full-screen alarm if you ask it to find your phone.
  • In the car, with Android Auto, answers are read out loud and you can reply by voice.
  • It uses no third-party push service: it keeps its own real-time connection.

Security on the device

  • Fingerprint or PIN lock with a configurable grace period.
  • The session is stored encrypted in the system keystore.
  • Android's automatic backups are disabled for this app.

There are two builds that can live on the same phone: AMSET, the personal one, and AMSET Working, which also brings the team chat and the business module.

Requirements: Android 8 or later. The app is a little over 100 MB because it carries the offline voice model inside.

The watch app

It is not a mirror of the phone: it talks to the API directly, so it works even when your phone is not nearby.

AMSET's own watch face: time and date, segmented battery, heart rate, steps and temperature, with the same dial as the assistant.

Tap the orb and speak; the answer plays through the watch speaker even if you have headphones connected to the phone.

A list of conversations and of active tasks from any chat, to check what it is up to without taking your phone out.

A find-my-phone button that rings the phone even on silent.

The control

What it can really operate

This is what exists today, with its limits. The phone is controlled through the Android accessibility service, which you have to enable by hand.

The phone

Open an app, tap an element by its text, type into the focused field and read the screen. That is enough to chain tasks, but there are no gestures or swipes: it is those four actions.

The home

Samsung TV over the network (on, off, volume, channel, HDMI, launching apps), air conditioning and lamps over infrared with codes learned from your remotes, and the robot vacuum.

The computers

From the chat you pick which machine runs the next thing, see its load in real time and can cancel whatever is running. The agent works inside the folders that machine allows, and only those.

The infrastructure

Branches and merge requests, DNS and domain email, new servers and domains. Anything that costs money always asks for explicit confirmation.

Installing the apps

They are not on Google Play: they install from the APK. Public download is not open right now — write to us and we will send you the right build.
