The assistant

AMSET does not reply: it acts

A personal assistant with voice, memory and real tools, running on our own machines. You talk to it from the web, your phone or your watch, and the work actually happens: in your home, on your servers or in your accounts.

Four things that set it apart from a chat

Voice both ways

You speak and it speaks back. It transcribes with a local model (or in the cloud when needed), and the answer is spoken with a cloned voice and an emotion: happy, alert, serious or neutral. While it works, it drops a short line so you know it is still there.

It runs with permissions

Every user and team has their own permissions. In read-only mode it cannot write or execute anything; in production it proposes a plan and waits for confirmation; and cancelling a task really kills the process, not just the screen.

Memory on several levels

It picks the conversation up where you left it, stores facts and preferences, writes a record of every finished task, indexes the files it generates and searches the project documentation by meaning. And it flags stale data as stale.

It returns things, not text

Spreadsheets, PDFs, interactive HTML, images or audio show up in the conversation. If the answer needs a decision, you get buttons. And a conversation that works becomes an automation with one click.

What it can touch, by area

All of this is implemented and running. Where something has a limit, we say so: it beats a long list of promises.

Your home

  • Samsung TV: power on over the network, power off, volume, channel, HDMI, launch Netflix or YouTube and navigate the menu.
  • Air conditioning, lamps and fans over infrared: it learns the codes from your remotes and replays them.
  • Robot vacuum: status, start, stop, pause, send home and locate it.
  • An honest note: there is no wifi smart-bulb integration (Hue, Tuya). Lights are handled over infrared.

Your phone

  • Open an app, tap an element by its text, type into a field and read what is on screen.
  • Find my phone: full-volume alarm even on silent, plus its last known location.
  • Live updates on every task, with a direct reply from the notification.

Communication

  • WhatsApp: read chats, search the history, sum up what you missed and send messages.
  • In-house Teams: one-to-one and group chat, voice and video calls, screen sharing, live transcription and meetings with external guests.
  • Inside that chat you can call AMSET with @amset.
  • Live translation: you speak your language, it comes out in theirs.
  • Telegram, Discord and Slack for notices, messages and files.

Email, calendar and documents

  • Google’s Gmail, Calendar, Drive and Sheets, and Microsoft’s Outlook, Calendar and OneDrive.
  • Notion and Trello: pages, databases, boards and cards.
  • Files on MEGA, Dropbox, Box, S3 and other clouds, with a single tool.

Money and business

  • Invoicing: clients, quotes, invoices, credit notes, payments and PDFs, with VERI*FACTU and submission to the Spanish Tax Agency.
  • Personal expenses: transactions, fixed costs, subscriptions, debts and loans. Bank statements are imported without duplicating anything.
  • Business: tickets, sprints, planning, roadmap, ideas, projects with their repositories and keys, employees and payroll. AMSET can be assigned tickets too.
  • Payments with Stripe: balance, customers, refunds and payment links.

Marketing

  • Campaigns per client, with their posts, which go out on their own at the right time.
  • AI image and video for ads, and an image model on our own machine, with no cost per piece.
  • Publishing to Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube and LinkedIn.

Everyday life

  • Reminders at an exact time that ring out loud when due.
  • Tasks, habits and goals in our own calendar (not Google Calendar: ours).
  • Gym: routines and an exercise catalogue.
  • Amazon: search products, track orders and prepare a purchase with double confirmation.
  • A password vault, with the two-factor codes.

Technical work

  • Git: branches, merge requests and automatic merge when the change comes out clean.
  • Infrastructure on Cloudflare, Hostinger, DigitalOcean and AWS: DNS and domain email, new servers, domains and full provisioning of a project.
  • Engine per task: Claude, ChatGPT (Codex), Gemini, OpenRouter or a local model. The Claude accounts take turns on their own when one hits its limit.
  • Cost and usage: what each machine, project and model spends, day by day.
  • Web search with cited sources, vision over images and image generation.
  • A server security watchdog that audits and can block IPs, in simulation mode until it is authorised.

It is the same piece the real application uses, with the same colours and speeds. It is not decoration: it changes with what is going on.

Security

Execution power with a handbrake

  • Short-lived session tokens with rotating refresh: reuse an old one and the whole family is revoked.
  • Passwords with argon2id and a second factor through an authenticator app.
  • Each machine decides locally which folders it allows. Real paths never leave the machine.
  • Permissions per user and per team, with projects in read-only or write mode.
  • Each user's API keys are stored encrypted.
  • What comes from outside (a message, an email, a web page) is treated as data: it is read and summarised, but never executed as an order.
  • Encrypted database backups, every night.
  • Phone and watch pair with a six-digit code, like a TV: the app carries no passwords inside.
